On .ro, .com, .net, .eu and .md a transfer costs the same as a renewal; for the other extensions, the transfer price is in the table below. Before you pay, we tell you whether the transfer adds a year to the expiry date (on most extensions it does; on .ro and .md it depends on the registry).
From your current provider you need the domain unlocked and the authorisation code, also called the EPP or auth code. For .ro no code is needed. Your website and email keep working throughout, because a transfer does not change the nameservers.

Before you order
Registration is almost instant on most extensions. The domain shows up in your client area right after payment, and DNS propagation across the internet usually takes under an hour.
It is the authorisation code proving the domain is yours, required for a transfer. You get it from your current provider's panel, which also has to unlock the domain. Romanian .ro domains need no code.
We send reminders 30 and 7 days before expiry, and automatic renewal is on by default. After expiry most extensions still have a window in which the domain can be recovered, for a fee that differs by extension. Write to us quickly: the longer it takes, the more it costs.
Yes. You change the nameservers yourself from the client area at any time, and the domain stays yours wherever your site is hosted.
Yes, a .ro, .com, .net or .eu domain. cPanel: Business and Ultimate, for the first year, when you pay for 1, 2 or 3 years (Entry and Pro do not include one). Reseller: Start and Pro for the first year on 1, 2 or 3-year plans; Guru for the first year on any period; Master Start with renewals included. WordPress: Small Business on yearly billing, Publication on 6 months or 1 year, Enterprise and Newspaper on any period (Blog does not include one). Website subscription: Advanced and Enterprise, renewals included, for as long as you subscribe. The free domain applies to the first product of that group in the order, and a free-trial order does not get a free domain. You pick it at checkout.
Your contact details no longer appear publicly in WHOIS; a privacy service's details appear instead. It is included at no cost on the extensions that allow it; some registries, including the one for .ro, have their own rules.
Yes. Premium domains appear in search with their own price, which is set by the registry and differs a lot from the extension's usual price.
If the name you want is taken, we show you free alternatives on other extensions. Already have the domain elsewhere? Pick "Domain Transfer".
