Rules of the “Double-the-difference guarantee”
Version 2.5, in force from 10 October 2026, 16:05 (Romanian time). Earlier versions: 2.4 (10 October 2026, 15:40), 2.3 (10 October 2026, 15:02), 2.2 (9 October 2026, 14:56), 2.1 (9 October 2026, 13:37), 2.0 (8 October 2026) and 1.0 (7 October 2026). An invoice paid before this version stays under the version in force when it was paid; at your request, we apply this version instead. The Romanian version prevails.
In short
- You pay for a CrockyHost cPanel hosting plan: Entry, Pro, Business or Ultimate.
- Within 14 days of paying you find an equivalent plan cheaper at another provider, on the same billing period? Send us the offer in a ticket to the Price guarantee department.
- We compare what you paid us on that invoice with the offer's renewal price, both without VAT.
- If the offer passes our check, you get account credit equal to twice the difference, but never more than half of what you paid for the plan, without VAT.
- The credit does not expire and you use it to pay any CrockyHost invoice. It is not paid out in cash or refunded to a card.
- At most 3 approved claims a year, and one per service and billing period.

1. Who offers it
The offer is made by CROCKY S.R.L. (the CrockyHost brand), VAT RO50515950, Trade Register J2024020698007, Str. Drăgaica nr. 5, Balasan, Băilești, Dolj county, 205101, Romania (“CrockyHost”). It is a commercial promotion of ours; it does not replace or limit your consumer rights (withdrawal, conformity).
2. Who can claim
Anyone who paid an invoice for an eligible plan: an individual or a company, a new or an existing customer. No code and no fee. One condition only: you have no overdue invoices when we approve the claim.
3. Which plans are covered
The cPanel web hosting plans Entry, Pro, Business and Ultimate, on any billing period we sell.
Not covered: domains, managed WordPress, reseller, NAT VPS, dedicated servers, website subscriptions, web projects, options (for example AccelerateWP), setup fees.
4. When to claim
Within 14 calendar days of paying the invoice for the plan (new order or renewal), by opening a ticket to the Price guarantee department in your client area and filling in the form fields. What counts is the day you open the ticket: if you open it in time and send us whatever is missing within the 10 days of point 8.3, the claim stays in time.
5. What “equivalent plan” means
The offer you found must meet all of the following, as shown on the provider's public page:
- it is shared web hosting managed from cPanel;
- its price is shown publicly and anyone in Romania can order it, without a personal quote, an invitation or a promo code;
- it has the same billing period as your invoice (12 months against 12 months, 6 against 6);
- on every line it is at least equal to your plan for: disk space (SSD or NVMe), number of sites, RAM, CPU, email accounts, databases; and if your plan includes SSH access, Node.js/Python applications or team users, the offer must include them too;
- it includes automatic backups taken at least once a day, as ours are; if the provider does not say publicly how often, the offer cannot be compared;
- it comes from a company registered in the European Union that sells publicly in Romania (website in Romanian or English, price payable from Romania) and has no insolvency or liquidation procedure open, as published in the Romanian Insolvency Proceedings Bulletin or the equivalent register of its country.
We compare only what is public. If the provider does not publish a resource from the list in point 4, the offer cannot be compared and does not count. How we read resources: CPU given in cores counts as 100% per core (2 cores = 200%), and a resource publicly stated as “unlimited” counts as at least equal to ours.
Not counted: resellers of our services, marketplaces, private offers, offers from companies linked to you or created for the claim.
This list is complete: outside the conditions in these rules, we do not reject an offer for a feature we do not list here.
6. Which prices we compare (both without VAT)
- Our price = the amount you actually paid for the plan on that invoice, for its period, without VAT, after any promo code. So we compare what you paid us with what you would pay the provider from the second invoice on. We leave out the domain, options (AccelerateWP etc.) and one-time fees such as setup.
- The provider's price = its renewal price (the one from the second invoice) for the same period, without VAT, plus any compulsory fee charged every period (for example a cPanel licence billed separately). One-time fees such as setup are left out, for us and for the provider. If the price shown includes VAT, we remove the VAT at the rate the provider shows, on the page or in the cart. If it shows none, we ask you in the ticket for a screenshot of the cart showing the price without VAT or the rate; only if it still cannot be found do we use the standard Romanian rate (21% on the date of this version). If the provider does not publish a renewal price, the offer cannot be compared.
- Not counted: discounts valid only on the first order (we compare the renewal price), coupon codes, free months and trials, offers limited in time or quantity (“today only”, campaigns), bundles with other services.
- Amounts in another currency are converted at the National Bank of Romania rate on the day your claim is complete. You receive the credit in your account currency.
7. What to send
The ticket form asks for: the invoice number; the link to the page with the offer; the link to the page where the provider shows its renewal price, if it is not the same page; the renewal price, the currency, whether the price includes VAT and the offer's billing period. To the ticket you attach one or more screenshots showing the price, the period and the resources, one for each page. The ticket records the date you send the evidence, so it does not need to show on the screenshots; whether the offer is available we establish separately, through our two checks, with date and time (point 8).
8. How we check
- We check the offer when we receive the complete claim and again 24 hours after the first check. At each check we save a copy of the offer page, with the date and time; if the page cannot be copied automatically, we check it by hand within one working day after the 24 hours. The offer must be orderable both times; if the price differs between them, we use the higher one.
- We answer in writing, in the ticket, within 5 working days of the date the claim is complete.
- If something is missing we tell you exactly what. If you do not reply within 10 calendar days, we close the claim; you can send a new one while you are still inside the 14 days.
- If we reject the claim we tell you why. You can reply in the same ticket with new information and we review it again.
9. How much you get
Twice the difference between our price and the provider's price (point 6), but never more than 50% of our price.
Example 1 — the cap is not reached. Pro, 12 months: you paid EUR 29.90 without VAT. The equivalent offer is EUR 25.00 at renewal for 12 months. The difference is EUR 4.90; twice that is EUR 9.80; the cap is EUR 14.95. You get EUR 9.80 credit.
Example 2 — the cap is reached. Same plan, equivalent offer EUR 15.00. The difference is EUR 14.90; twice that is EUR 29.80; the cap is EUR 14.95. You get EUR 14.95 credit.
(Illustrative examples; prices may differ on the day of your claim.)
10. How the credit works
- It is added to your CrockyHost account as ordinary credit, like any other credit in the account, and it does not expire. You use it to pay any invoice, from the invoice page, with the “Apply Credit” button.
- We add it automatically on the 15th day after you paid the invoice you claimed for and email you; if we approve the claim later, we add it on the day of approval. The rule is the same for everyone, individuals and companies, new orders and renewals: we wait for the 14 days in which a consumer can withdraw from the contract to pass.
- It is not paid out in cash or refunded to a card, not even when you close your account, cannot be transferred to another account and earns no interest (Terms, art. 9.3.2).
- The home page of your client area shows your claims in progress, the credit you received and your credit balance.
- If you ask for a refund of the invoice the credit was granted for (withdrawal, payment dispute), that credit is cancelled: we take it off your credit balance, and whatever the balance no longer covers is deducted from the amount we refund or, in a payment dispute, remains payable. If you ask before we grant the credit, it is not granted.
11. Limits
- One approved claim per service and billing period (if you renew, you may claim again).
- At most 3 approved claims per client per calendar year.
- One client, one account. Multiple accounts, offers from providers linked to you, or offers created for the claim are rejected.
12. Changes
We may change or end the offer, by announcement on this page, for invoices paid after the announcement. Claims for invoices paid before a change are decided under the rules in force on the payment date. We give you earlier versions on request.
13. Data and your rights
Screenshots and ticket data are used only to check your claim, as described in the Privacy Policy. These rules are read together with the Terms and Conditions. Complaints go through a ticket; your consumer rights (including ANPC and ADR, see Terms section 25) are unchanged.
